We are by now all familiar with download indicators and spinning wheels that show our devices are working for us. Or a least that is what they are supposed to indicate, but are often found to be misleading. Rather than indicating an accurate representation of the work that is being done, they are often used just to give us a sense that something is happening and our wait is not in vain.
These progress bars are being widely used on many websites and apps in order to give customers an idea of when the item is ready or will be delivered. They provide comfort to customers that want to feel like progress is being made right in front of them, and to give them an approximation of when their order will be ready.
